Students and employees at Malmö Academy of Music get free tickets and tickets at a reduced price from several of the city's cultural institutions.

Malmö Symphony Orchestra

Malmö Live Concert Hall welcomes you as a student or employee at Malmö Academy of Music. We hope you will visit us during the MSO season 24/25. 

Free tickets
As a student or employee at Malmö Academy of Music you get one free ticket per person to MSO’s regular concerts. Subject to availability applies. You collect the free ticket via your personal login on our website. The booking is done on the actual concert day, from 15.00 for Thursday concerts and 09.00 for Saturday concerts.

Registration
To be able to collect a free ticket to MSO's regular concerts, you must register at Malmö Live's box office first. Please email the following information to:  biljettcenter [at] malmolive [dot] se (biljettcenter[at]malmolive[dot]se)

  • Email Address

(when you submit an application for registration in our system, you agree to us having the following personal information about you: name, address, telephone number and email)

You can also create an account yourself on Malmö Live's website under "My Pages". Once you hear back from us or you have created an account yourself, you are welcome to visit Malmö Live's box office to register. Bring your ID and a current (this year's) QR code on your LU card. The QR code can be picked up at the reception at Malmö Academy of Music. Once the box office has registered you, you can log in via the website and pick up your free ticket for the rest of the season.

Renew your registration
Please note that you need to renew your registration every year in August. This is done at Malmö Live's box office and you need to bring your ID and a current (this year's) QR code on your LU card. The QR code can be picked up at the reception at Malmö Academy of Music.

How to collect your free ticket

  1. Log in on malmolive.se/mso with the email address you used when you registered with us. If it is the first time you log in, click on Forgot password (Glömt lösenord).
  2. Select the day / evening MSO concert you wish to collect a ticket for, click on Buy ticket (Köp biljett).
  3. Select a seat.
  4. Select Price type: Music Academy Free (Pristyp: Musikhögskolan Fri). If it does not appear, there are no free ticket available.
  5. Click on Continue to payment (Fortsätt till betalning) and Confirm booking (Godkänn bokningen).
  6. You will receive your ticket as an e-ticket with your booking confirmation. You will also find your ticket under ‘My pages’ (Mina sidor) on our website. At the concert you can show the ticket on your phone, there is no need to print it out. Note that your ticket is personal, and you cannot transfer it to another person.

Please also remember to bring your LU card to the concert, as random controls will be carried out by our audience hosts.

Malmö Opera

As a student at Malmö Academy of Music you get free tickets to Malmö Opera's own concerts in the foyer and on the main stage (but not to musical or opera performances). Subject to availability applies. This means that it is the staff at Malmö Opera’s ticket office who decides if there is room. You need to show your LU card and a valid QR code. You pick up the QR code at the reception at Malmö Academy of Music.

To be able to take advantage of this opportunity, you must first register with Malmö Opera via email. Write that you are a student at Malmö Academy of Music and send the following information to: bokning [at] malmoopera [dot] se (bokning[at]malmoopera[dot]se)

Skånes Dansteater (Skåne’s Dance Theatre)

As a student at Malmö Academy of Music you get a 50% discount on Skåne’s Dance Theatre’s performances in Malmö.

Skåne’s Dance Theatre is Sweden’s largest independent dance institution and based in Malmö. The company consists of 16 dancers who present the work of Swedish and international choreographers. 

The student discount does not apply to lunch-time performances or guest performances.
