Student union
The student union at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts is an association of students from Malmö Academy of Music, Malmö Art Academy and Malmö Theatre Academy.
The student union is a non-religious and non-partisan organisation, open to all students. The union consists of students from all three institutions, but each academy has its own section. The union's role is to safeguard students' interests and promote their influence and co-determination in matters concerning the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts, as well as to contribute with an artistic perspective in cross-faculty collaborations.
Students have the right to appoint representatives in decision-making and preparatory bodies at the faculty. At Malmö Academy of Music, this means the Board of Directors, the Quality Committee for Undergraduate Education and the two Educational Committees. In addition, students are represented in academy's Equality Committee, Environmental Committee and The Southern Choir Centre.
The student union also functions as a contact point for Lund University's central functions and student life, as well as other artistic institutions and organisations.
For those who no longer are active students but still want to support the student union's activities, it is possible to take out a supporting membership.
